Mertech Marine has been a pioneer in delivering innovative turnkey solutions for the submarine telecommunications industry since 2004. Specialising in recovering out-of-service cables, including shore-end removal, depot clearance, and other related submarine services, utilising our fleet of three vessels. We dismantle and recycle the cables at our factories situated in strategic locations in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and Subic Bay, Philippines. 

To date, our commitment to sustainability has led us to recover and recycle in excess of 110,000 kilometers of cable and over 1,830 repeaters at our dedicated ISO 14001-certified factory located in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Mertech Marine's recycling activities have a significant environmental impact, resulting in an estimated annual displacement of 51,351 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide equivalent (tCO2e).
