Alan Hollander, VP Subsea Systems Engineering, Nokia

Alan Hollander is Nokia's VP Subsea Systems Engineering. Based in Amsterdam, Alan leads a global subsea engineering team responsible for network upgrade solutions. Acting as a key technical advisor both externally and internally, Alan has been involved with some of the largest subsea network upgrade projects in the world. His responsibilities include providing technical leadership, identifying technical market trends and helping to drive innovation of subsea network upgrade solutions to provide value to the cable system owners. Alan has 25 years of experience in the optical networking industry, in various roles, including with Nortel, Ciena and Infinera. He holds a PhD in Physics and an MBA.
