Luciano Maniglio has a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (EQF level 6) and a master's degree in Civil Engineering (EQF level 7), both from the University of Salento, and is also a certified PMP. In 2024 he started an MBA which he will finish in 2025. Through his master's thesis in Maritime Construction he acquired knowledge on wind and wave motion regimes, on the transport of solid sediments, with particular attention to the transport of solids in the near-shore and foreshore part. Within Poliservizi he is responsible for permits (principle permits, operational permits, PFS, DTS), consultancy on submarine infrastructures in the environmental field and he also deals with business development. He is a member of the Italian Order of Engineers and a member of the commission for project management in civil engineering, which is part of the same professional association.  He has an in-depth knowledge of the use of GNSS systems, in particular DGPS RTK systems and GIS, CAD and BIM software.  His previous experience includes organising and managing projects involving the surveying of underground utilities using ground-penetrating radar for the construction of fibre optic land pipelines, and GIS mapping with RTK precision of the sewers of the Metropolitan City of Rome.
