Ryuichi Sugizaki received his B. E. degree from Chiba Institute of Technology in Chiba, Japan, in 1990. He joined Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. in1990 where he has been engaged in research and development of optical fibers. He is now a specialist for the Photonics laboratories. Mr. Sugizaki is recipient of the Outstanding Poster Paper Award of International Cable Connectivity Symposium (IWCS) in 2017 and a senior member of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE).
