Stephen Hall FIMarEST is a chartered marine scientist, and a Fellow of IMarEST, SUT and MTS. He has worked in ocean science, technology and policy for over 35 years, in the public & private sector, with roles including managing autonomous underwater vehicle programmes for the UK National Oceanography Centre, serving as Head of UK delegation & Vice Chair of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, advising government ministers, several years as CEO of the Society for underwater Technology, & more. He’s currently an independent consultant with clients including the Nippon Foundation - GEBCO Seabed 2030 project & for developers of marine robotic systems, and serves on the Board of the Marine Technology Society
