Zain Omantel International (ZOI)

Willy George is Zain Omantel International’s Head of Department, Networks.
Based in Muscat, Willy leads the engineering team responsible for ZOI’s global network infrastructure that includes submarine cable systems, terrestrial DWDM and IP transport infrastructure. Acting as a key technical advisor both externally and internally, Willy has been involved with some of the largest network infrastructure projects. His responsibilities include providing technical leadership, identifying technical market trends and helping to drive innovation providing value to the various stakeholders.
Willy has over 25 years of industry experience, in various roles, including with Omantel, NCR and Reliance Infocomm. He also has extensive experience in technical leadership roles for various consortium and private submarine cable systems.
